New in 2008!

Brekhus Tile & Stone continues to grow its business with major expansion into high-end condominium and hotel projects. Major projects completed recently include: Residential and public space work at the Monroe Point Luxury Homes in Cherry Creek with Swinerton; the Mother Lode Luxury Condominiums in Aspen for John Olson builders; public/stadium work at the new Coors Field Conference Center with Mortenson, recreational/renovation work at The Glenwood Springs Mineral Spa refurbishment for RA Nelson and the Pura Vida Fitness & Spa. When the region’s largest wholesale tile seller, Dal Tile, wanted their showroom and display boards done, they called Brekhus.

We are currently working on the Ameristar Casino & Hotel in Black Hawk for Hensel Phelps as well as the Sheraton Hotel Towers project in Steamboat Springs and five Marriott Hotels statewide.

In 2007, expansion in concrete restoration

In 2007, Brekhus Tile & Stone added a separate business unit - Brekhus Concrete Restoration Systems. This company is a woman-owned business that specializes in the application of high-technology concrete materials to create custom floor surfaces as well as restore, level and prepare concrete floors for installation of hardwood or tile surfaces.

Company History

In business since l999, Brekhus Tile & Stone has completed hundreds of jobs in shopping malls, office buildings, apartment complexes, restaurants and hotels.

Initially Brekhus Tile focused on individual installations for commercial and residential properties, but the company has now expanded its portfolio to include contracts with the nation's largest restaurant and hotel chains as well as projects in Colorado's most upscale shopping malls. In addition, Brekhus Tile has added a repair and maintenance division that brings delivers ongoing revenues from regular customers.

Brekhus has also expanded its geographical service area beyond the Denver metro area to include projects on Colorado's Western Slope.

At any given time, the company is busy with multiple projects in the region, where expert work crews of long-term employees work independently to meet tight deadlines. Founder and CEO Jeff Brekhus makes it a point to check in with all of the crews daily, supervising materials performance and installation questions to insure quality and prevent cost overruns.
