Since its inception 18 years ago, Brekhus Tile & Stone has established itself as a trusted source in the Denver area for any stone and tile project regardless of complexity. The renowned stone and tile purveyor dominates its competition thanks in part to the leadership of husband-and-wife powerhouse Kym and Jeff Brekhus and the hands-on roles that each one brings to the business. Leveraging her background in architecture, Kym serves as CEO, ensuring expert estimating, technical planning and the successful execution of each project. Jeff, the COO, draws on his passion for design and extensive experience in business management as he works side-by-side with general contractors, sub-contractors, architects and employees, facilitating close communication around every job, and always encouraging independent thinking. “This creates synergy between team members that helps the company stand out from other tile and stone installers,” explains Jeff. Also imperative to the firm’s success is a commitment to ensuring a harmonious relationship between customer experience and satisfaction. “We are successful if we have delivered a finished project that is uniquely beautiful, processed well and installed on schedule and in a professional manner,” says Kym. “We want our customers to feel proud of the work we’ve been entrusted to install in any space.” Ultimately, the goal is always to assist the client in achieving their desired result and then exceed their expectations in the end. “Good design is integral to one’s lifestyle, period,” says Jeff. “We help our customers sort out the vast tile and stone options that fit their lifestyles and look and feel they way they envision.”
